With our central Edinburgh location, huge range of stock and fleet of vans, we (rather excitingly) are perfectly positioned to provide crews with a cool alternative to mass-market retailers.
Importantly, sourcing through EFI carries a direct social impact. Every rental or purchase keeps items in circulation while funding Four Square’s vital homelessness support services across Edinburgh. It’s a solution that’s practical, sustainable, and local.

Our stock changes daily. You wouldn’t believe all the things we have!
- Diverse Styles: Vintage, mid-century, antique, modern.
- Range of Departments: Furniture but also mirrors, artwork, rugs, bric-a-brac, white goods, mattresses, books of all kinds, and an extensive collection of media like vinyl and CDs.
- Authentic Character: For film sets and stages, pristine furniture doesn’t look right. EFI’s stock has that “lived-in” feel.
How Our Industry Rentals Work
Over the years, we have developed a system to make the process straightforward from start to finish.
- Props Team Visits: Teams just pop in or schedule a visit to browse!
- Tailored Rental Agreements: For short-term festival runs or temporary stage setups, EFI can offer rental periods to fit the exact timeline.
- Delivery Fleet: As we have our own vans, our delivery team delivers directly to the venue or set.
- Post-Production: At the end of a shoot or festival, EFI returns to check and collect the items. Although we find that sometimes crew falls in love with items and ask to buy them!

Supporting Scotland’s screen and festival sectors is a joy for our team, but the real impact happens off-screen. All profits from EFI directly fund Four Square’s work, ensuring people experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh receive safe housing, tailored support, and pathways to new careers.
