Edinburgh Furniture Initiative (EFI) is Four Square’s furniture and homeware reuse store.

You will find quality-checked, preloved furniture, homeware, white goods, kitchen appliances, books, rugs, CDs & vinyl, gifts and more.

Whether you shop or donate, you’re supporting people experiencing homelessness, helping the environment by reducing waste and giving everyone in the community the chance to have a beautiful home.

We assist several housing associations to provide re-use furniture to their tenants every year

What can you donate?

We accept a wide variety of goods:

Soft furnishings; beds, sofas, armchairs, mattresses – must have fire safety label
Kitchen appliances; fridges, cookers, microwaves, kettles, irons, coffee machines
Household furniture
Homeware including crockery, pictures, glasses
Small electrical goods like hair dryers and kettles
TVs, DVD players and stereo systems

Items we cannot accept

To comply with safety regulations around the re-sale of goods, we cannot accept:

Collection

Can’t drop off? We offer a free uplift service for bulky donations within the Edinburgh and Mid/West Lothian areas.

Delivery

We offer delivery within Edinburgh at a cost of £25 and to Mid/West Lothian for £35-40. (Limited to 3 large items)
