At Four Square, our mission has always been to ensure that everyone in Edinburgh has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it. Today, we are excited to announce a new partnership that ensures every house move in Edinburgh can help someone else find a place to call home.
Starting in April 2026, we are officially teaming up with Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents to ensure no one in our community faces homelessness alone.
More Than Just a Roof
Every day, Neilsons helps people buy and sell homes. Yet, they are aware that the path to secure housing isn’t easy for everyone.
Edinburgh has the highest number of homeless households in Scotland, and with the City of Edinburgh Council declaring a Housing Emergency, the pressure on our services has never been greater.
As one of Edinburgh’s largest estate agents, Neilsons help thousands of people move into new homes every year. Now, they are committing their platform and resources to make sure the city’s most vulnerable residents aren’t left behind.

How We’re Working Together
This isn’t just a corporate logo on a website; it’s a hands-on collaboration:
- The Circular Move: We’re turning the house move into a resource for the city. By linking directly with the Edinburgh Furniture Initiative, Neilsons will help clients donate quality furniture during their move – keeping items in the community to fund and expand our frontline support.
- Targeted Impact Challenges: This isn’t just general fundraising. With Four Square support, Neilsons’ has a range of creative fundraising activities planned, ensuring we can reach more people and expand our support across the city.
- Community Events: We’ll be hosting joint workshops in store that offer practical advice from estate agents and legal experts for residents.

Kick-off Event: Decluttering / Staging / Selling!
To get things started, we are hosting a special event at our Gorgie Road showroom on Saturday 2nd May at 10am.
If you’re thinking about moving and want to maximise the value of your property, this is for you. We’ll be joined by:

The event is free to attend, though we do ask that you bring along one item you’d like to declutter and donate to Four Square.
It’s a great chance to see our enormous showroom and get some interior inspiration.
