A Passionate Community
Volunteering for Four Square means joining a supportive and friendly community passionate about ending homelessness across Edinburgh and ensuring everyone has a beautiful home and a place in their community.
Training & Support
We have a variety of roles in our shop, warehouse and café that can fit in with your lifestyle. Whether you want to volunteer weekly, fortnightly or less frequently, we’ll give you the training and support you need.
Building Confidence
Volunteering is a great way to meet new likeminded people, gain skills, build confidence and create friendships whilst learning more about issues faced in your local community.

You do not need any specific qualifications or skills to volunteer with us
We welcome people from all backgrounds – all you need is a kind and positive approach and a desire to help people experiencing homelessness. We will provide you with all training and support necessary to make you feel confident and secure in your volunteer role at Four Square.

We have opportunities for individuals and corporates
- Painting, decorating, refurbishment and DIY
- Cooking, gardening, art and sharing of various skills and hobbies
- Office roles including admin, assisting the fundraising and marketing team
- Work in our furniture shop, helping us price items, load and unload our vans and serve customers
