Every year, thousands of perfectly good sofas end up in landfill.
At Edinburgh Furniture Initiative, we can take donations of second-hand sofas which are in good, usable condition. Then, we find them a good home after they have gone through our checks.
We can collect if you are unable to drop off. Check our criteria below then get in touch to arrange.
The sofas & armchairs are then checked, cleaned (if required) and then either re-sold in store to generate funds for our homeless services, provided to our partner housing authorities or our own supported accommodation.

Does it meet the criteria?
We have a large drop off zone in Gorgie or we can collect from all around Edinburgh, including: Leith, Portobello, Morningside, Marchmont, Murrayfield, Corstorphine, Cramond and across the wider city.
Our sofas come with the knowledge of a returns policy, just like the high street.
However, you will also find our prices are much lower than buying new.
Our sofas are checked for quality and safety then displayed on our shop floor.
