The Supported Flats Project has nomination rights with a number of housing associations in Edinburgh.
This means, following a successful application process, we can put your name forward to a housing association for a flat.
Accommodation is usually in the more central parts of Edinburgh. We help you move in and provide you with on going support to maintain your tenancy.
Who can use this service?
The project offers support to young people (16 to 25) with a history of homelessness or unsettled living.
How can I access this service?
Applications must come through an agency. We ask for written references and we interview short listed applicants to find out what they are looking for and to make sure that we can offer the right support.
What support do we offer?
We offer support with practical and emotional issues including:
We support people with a wide range of issues, including mental health problems and alcohol and drug addictions.
In order for you to maintain your tenancy, we expect you to be involved with appropriate agencies regarding these issues.
We normally offer support for a period of 6 months, although this is dependent on individual circumstances.
