Located in central Edinburgh, Number 20 provides shelter and support for up to 6 young women at a time, all of whom are at risk of homelessness.
At Four Square, we like to know that we’re succeeding in upholding the charity’s aims. Our staff at Number 20 were therefore delighted when they received the following message from E (her real name cannot be disclosed), a 16 year old lodger:
“Thanks for all the advice that you’ve given to help me on my way. I’ve certainly learned a lot since arriving here and feel that I have become a lot more mature. I’d had no clue how hard leaving home and being on my own would be and now don’t take so many things for granted. You’ve helped me become more independent and capable of sorting things out on my own instead of relying on others to do them for me.”
E has now finished her stay at Number 20. We would all like to congratulate her and wish her the very best for the future.
Four Square has been fighting the causes of homelessness in Edinburgh and Scotland since 1978.
